The TWC Writing Agency is an
arm of Toronto Writers' Centre. The Agency draws upon the experience
of Toronto Writers' Centre members to provide corporations, editors
and publications with professional writers for their projects.
Writers
Our database contains more
than 30 writers with a broad range of experience, which includes
writing and editing of: magazine and newspaper articles, brochures,
catalogues, newsletters, corporate communications and websites.
We work closely with our clients to ensure that the appropriate
writer is selected for the project. The Agency also acts as the
main point of contact for the client and manages the project
through to completion to ensure that it is done in a timely manner.
Fees
Depending upon the type of
work required, fees may be charged per word ($0.50 - $3.00 per
word plus GST), per hour ($50 - $250 per hour plus GST) or on
a project basis. Unless otherwise negotiated, revisions to the
work product will be subject to an additional fee.
A retainer letter describing
the terms of engagement must be signed and a payment equal to
50% of the total project costs must be paid before the commencement
of work. The remaining 50% is payable immediately upon completion.
